Our main communication will be through our Studio Pulse automatic email system. Please also check our website, Facebook, or Instagram for any information or updates.

If any parent/student wishes a private conference concerning your individual dance goals or financial concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. We are happy to work with you to ensure that your school year will be one of pleasure and growth. We are always here to make your experience with Alfonso Academy the best it can be! Studio Policies

Please note the following guidelines regarding studios, classes and lobby:

  1. Out of respect to teachers and other students, we ask that you arrive on time to all classes. A student who arrives late to class, based on the instructor’s discretion, may not be permitted to take class yet will be expected to observe. We understand traffic issues and other circumstances, but please try to not make it a weekly habit.

  2. We make every effort to have all children feel safe and cared for in a loving and inspiring learning environment. Please allow for appropriate restroom use prior to class and supply your dancer with a reusable water bottle for class. Students may NOT leave class without the teacher’s permission. This is for their safety.

  3. School age children and teens: please practice respect. Students must respect themselves, others, and our property. Students are not to be socializing in a disruptive manner during or out of class with other students. Bullying, disrespect to others or foul language will not be tolerated at any time. Any misuse of social media, texting, and/or messages will also not be tolerated.

  4. Students should carry all belongings into the studio in which they are dancing. Belongings can be left in the changing areas at your own risk, but will not be supervised. Any belongings left behind will be put in the Lost & Found. Items left in the Lost & Found will be donated or re-willed to others at the end of each semester. Alfonso Academy is not responsible for personal items left in studios or other general spaces. All cell phones may be in the dancer’s bag but MUST be put on silent. All cell phone use must be done in the lobby area.

  5. Food of ANY kind & gum are not allowed in the studios. WATER ONLY. All bottles must have a secure top on them. If a spill does occur, please notify an Alfonso Academy faculty or staff member immediately. Please keep all food in the general spaces. Please discard any food items in the trash cans provided. Please help us keep our space clean and inviting for all.

  6. Parents are not allowed inside the studios unless given permission by the instructor.

  7. Children under the age of 8 should not be left unattended in waiting areas. Children should be picked-up promptly after their classes. If there is an emergency please call the
studio to inform the front desk.

  8. We want all students to feel at home and welcomed at Alfonso Academy. Dance is fun, educational, and explorative. We ask that we respect the art form of dance and the discipline it develops by following our guidance. We request that if you have any concerns about our Program to please schedule a meeting with the director immediately and not allow any circumstance to be left unresolved.

In Case of Bad Weather

In the case of bad weather, Alfonso Academy has the right to cancel classes for safety issues. We will follow any local warnings and monitor via weather web applications. Please contact the studio to find out if class will be held and also check our website, Facebook, or Instagram page. Cancelled classes due to weather are non-refundable, but dancers are welcomed to make the class up by attending another class or ask your Instructor about other options.

Adding/Dropping Classes

Tuition is non-refundable for a dropped class no matter when it is dropped. Added classes will be charged to the family account immediately after activation.

Withdraw/Cancel Policy

Therefore, tuition is due for the month in which you plan to end enrollment. Monthly tuition will continue until the office receives an email that has been sent to mela@alfonsoacademy.com with the student’s name, class(es) date & time, and withdrawal date. All withdrawal notices should be 30 days prior to termination of services.

Pandemic Policy

In reference to a local, national, and global health crisis, Alfonso Academy will assume ALL classes via ZOOM or On-Stream learning. If your dancer is enrolled in ANY of our programs, tuition will continue as long as the services are provided. There will be no refunds for tuition or Dance Concert/Costume Fees.

**Payments & Tuition**

Enrollment is from August 14, 2023 - May 30, 2024 and is an ANNUAL tuition based on the number of dance hours per week. Monthly payments will be made in 12 equal installments. Tuition will be charged regardless of the number of lessons in a particular month. Makeup classes can be scheduled and parents should speak with the director concerning this issue and what classes can be taken in place. Tuition is non-refundable and non- transferable for missed classes including holidays or vacation.

We are very excited about starting this new dance year and journey! All of our students and parents make Alfonso Academy what it is and we feel privileged that you have chosen us as your Dance Education center.
